demonstrations in the national capital by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP), a new political pressure group has entered the scene. Calling itself the Lal Hit Janata Party, the newly formed outfit held its inaugural membership gathering on Sunday at Malviya Smriti Bhawan in New Delhi, vowing to challenge the CJP and safeguard democratic institutions.
Led by party chief Ayan Bhatnagar, the group launched a scathing critique of the CJP and its supporters, alleging that recent agitations in commercial hubs like Connaught Place have unfairly targeted India’s constitutional framework and severely impacted local trade.
Countering CJP Protests and Economic Concerns
The CJP has recently been staging demonstrations demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. However, the Lal Hit Janata Party has strongly condemned these actions, asserting that undermining independent constitutional bodies threatens public confidence.
Speaking at the gathering, Ayan Bhatnagar emphasized the timing of the protests, noting that the period between Dussehra and Diwali represents peak business season for traders across the nation.
“Disruptions in major commercial areas like Connaught Place will not be tolerated,” Bhatnagar stated, highlighting estimates from commentators that recent agitations have caused substantial financial setbacks to local businesses.
The group’s leadership urged citizens to look beyond social media activism, rally behind nationalist principles, and take a firm stand against actions that create administrative and civil unrest.

Focus on Constitutional Integrity and Law Enforcement
Addressing the crowd, the Lal Hit Janata Party leadership questioned the political motives behind calls for “regime change” and scrutiny of election officials. Bhatnagar pointed out that the current appointment mechanism for the Chief Election Commissioner includes the Leader of the Opposition, arguing that demands for resignation overlook established statutory processes.
Furthermore, the group strongly condemned any form of misbehavior or verbal abuse directed at police personnel and security staff during public protests. Speakers emphasized that while peaceful expression is welcome, maintaining public order and respecting law enforcement are paramount to preserving national stability.
