Ghaati Box Office Day 2: Anushka Shetty’s Film Opens to ₹2 Cr on Day 1; Sees a Dip on Day 2 at 26% Below Her Previous Release

By Kushinara M D | New Delhi Chronicle

New Delhi, September 7, 2025 – Ghaati, the highly anticipated action-crime drama starring Anushka Shetty and directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, made a decent start with ₹2 crore on Day 1. However, the film’s Day 2 collections dipped to around ₹1.49 crore, reflecting a 26% decline compared to her previous release, Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty, which earned ₹2.4 crore on Day 1 and ₹2.23 crore on Day 2.

Trade analysts suggest that while the film’s overall performance is softer than expected, it is seeing stronger traction in Telugu-speaking regions, with Day 2 figures estimated at ₹1.75 crore in those markets. However, the film’s slower narrative style may be limiting its wider commercial appeal.

Some industry trackers place the film’s worldwide Day 2 gross at ₹2.5 crore, bringing its two-day total to around ₹5 crore globally. The variation in reported numbers highlights regional differences in box office reporting, but the general trend indicates a moderate start.

Despite mixed early reviews and a dip in Day 2 numbers, Ghaati has shown resilience in key regional markets. While it is tracking below Anushka Shetty’s last film, word-of-mouth and weekend turnout could play a decisive role in boosting its momentum. The coming days will determine whether this crime drama can sustain its theatrical run or face early competition from upcoming releases.
