Actor Mukul Dev Dies Suffering From Depression at 54

In a Tragic development , Mukul Dev, a well-known actor and former pilot, has passed away at the age of 54.Best remembered for his roles in Son of Sardaar, R…Rajkumar, Jai Ho, and several TV shows, Mukul Dev was much more than just an actor he was also a trained commercial pilot and the brother of actor Rahul Dev.

Mukul Dev is survived by his daughter Sia Dev. His siblings are Rashmi Kaushal, Rahul Dev.

Mukul’s friend and actor Vindu Singh said he was going through a lot of emotional pain after the death of his mother . He stopped taking calls of everyone and remained alone .

Sources said Mukul Dev was in depression because of divorce with his wife Shilpa Dev and separation from his daughter.


Mukul Dev made his film debut in 1996 with ‘Dastak’ as ACP Rohit Malhotra in the same movie which also introduced Miss Universe 1994 Sushmita Sen. He appeared in several films such as Qila (1998) Wajood(1998),Kohram( 1999) and Mujhe Meri Biwi Se Bachao (2001). In recent years he played supporting roles in the films  Yamla Payal Deewana (2011), Son of Sardaar (2012), R…Rajkumar (2013) and Jai Ho (2014).
