The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow alerts for hot and humid conditions across several states, warning residents to brace for rising temperatures and increasing discomfort.
Yellow alerts was issued by IMD on Monday for Mumbai and its neighbouring districts—Thane, Palghar, Raigad, Ratnagiri, and Sindhudurg, cautioning of hot and humid weather likely to persist for the next three days.
The forecast follows last week’s unseasonal rains across parts of Maharashtra, as the state now shifts into full-blown summer mode.
