Sonia Gandhi likely to be Rajya Sabha candidate from Rajasthan

New Delhi : Former Congress President Sonia Gandhi likely to be the candidate from Rajasthan. The elections will be held on February 27 for 56 Rajya Sabha seats in 15 states, out of which, Congress will contest on nine seats. Top Congress leaders on Monday met at the residence of party chief Mallikarjun Kharge to discuss the names of party candidates for the upcoming .Congress is yet to announce its candidates while the BJP and TMC have already announced their Rajya Sabha candidates .Meanwhile, Rajasthan state opposition leader has requested the high command to announce Sonia Gandhi’s name as the Rajya Sabha candidate from the state.Before too , Rajasthan Congress has sent many top leaders from outside it’s state to Rajyasabha Randeep Singh Surjewala, Mukul Wasnik and Pramod Tiwari were sent to Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan. KC Venugopal and Dr Manmohan Singh also reached Rajya Sabha from Rajasthan.
