The India Meteorological Department (IMD) warns of a strong heatwave alert in Delhi . It has issued yellow alert . The heatwave is expected to hit Northwest India soon, including Delhi.
The temperature in the city is already around 40 degrees. The next two days are going to witness a strong heatwave .
Heatwaves are being reported in Gujarat and Saurashtra-Kutch region, which are expected to continue for the next 5-7 days. Rajasthan is also facing severe heatwave which will continue for the next 4-5 days.
Meanwhile ,According to IMD , A western disturbance is expected to affect the Western Himalayan region between April 8-10, possibly leading to thunderstorms, strong winds and South India is likely to receive heavy rainfalls in the coming week .
