New Delhi Chronicle gets its opinion on Haryana result right again . On August 21st we had published an article about Haryana assembly elections indicating BJP’s victory .

The Congress party received a major jolt in the Haryana assembly elections today . The results which came out in favour of BJP has disappointed the confident Congress party.

As of The Congress secured 37 seats against BJP’s lead in 47 seats well past the required majority of 46 seats . Haryana assembly houses 90 legislators in its state for which the counting happened today .

The congress lost for various reasons here. The party was very much confident of the Jat- Muslim – Dalit votes which always were unstable in their voting pattern throughout. The BJP worked smartly by projecting the OBC leader Nayan Singh Saini as its leader in spite of anti-incumbency, which proved a fruitful gamble. Bjp consolidated the other 35 groups against the Jat votes in Haryana.

The urban voters voted BJP en-mass where Congress has failed to capture these votes for the last 25 years across country. The RSS ground push in support of BJP worked towards achieving victory .

Open factionalism in Congress Party between Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Kumari Shelja resulted in wrong ticket distribution , disheartened party cadre and people of Haryana sensed factor of instability if Congress is voted to power .

Congress’ campaign strategy went horribly wrong with their leaders being over confident of victory and resting on laurels. Even the party’s thrust on Agniveers, Farmers , Jobs and unemployment failed miserably as no one worked towards its campaign other than lip service .

BJP encashed in these weaknesses of Congress party and turned it to their favour with the excellent campaign strategies, hence turning anti-incumbency into an unexpected victory .

Congress cried foul over Haryana assembly results , refused to accept defeat , Raised multiple complaints with the election commission. But the result has already been out and Congress has to blame itself for its disaster for the above factors mentioned by NDC .
