Priyanka Gandhi will be contesting the Wayanad by-poll

The congress high command finalizes Priyanka Gandhi’s candidature for Wayanad by- elections. Wayanad Parliament constituency fell open to contest after Rahul Gandhi resigned from there.Rahul Gandhi won both Wayanad and Rae Bareily with a huge margin .

K Muralidharan who lost thrissur seat to Suresh Gopi of Bjp was considered to contrst the bye elections from Wayanad before Priyanka made up her mind to be a candidate .

With Priyanka contesting from Wayanad, Congress Cadre is happy that they will stillhave the Gandhi family member as rheir MP , which can also give a psychological benefit to the party in the state .
