Salman Khan to Team Up with Raj and DK for a Massive New Feature Film; Script Complete

New Delhi: In what can be termed one of the biggest collaborations in recent Indian cinema, Bollywood megastar Salman Khan is all set to join forces with the critically acclaimed director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK (popularly known as Raj & DK) for an upcoming Hindi feature film.

Sources close to the development have revealed that the highly anticipated project is progressing rapidly. The scripting work for the film has already been completed, and the project has officially entered its pre-production stage. If all goes as planned, the film will be officially announced and will go on floors later this year.

A Grand Return to the Big Screen for Raj & DK

While Raj & DK have dominated the Indian streaming ecosystem over the last few years with massive OTT blockbusters like The Family Man, Farzi, and Guns & Gulaabs, this project marks their highly anticipated return to mainstream theatrical cinema. Their last directorial feature film for the big screen was the 2017 action-comedy A Gentleman.

The upcoming collaboration will also mark the very first time Salman Khan is associating with the filmmakers, promising a fresh cinematic language for the superstar’s massive fandom. While official plot details are being kept tightly under wraps, industry rumors strongly suggest that the project could be a unique, gritty superhero feature centering around a weary crime-fighter contemplating retirement.

Salman Khan’s Packed Slate

Salman Khan, who recently enthralled audiences in the 2025 actioner Sikandar, has an incredibly busy line-up ahead. Apart from the newly minted Raj & DK project, the actor is currently gearing up for a mega-collaboration with Telugu filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally. Co-starring Nayanthara and produced by veteran producer Dil Raju under the Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, that film is already locked for a grand Eid 2027 theatrical release.

Meanwhile, Raj & DK are coming off a string of creative successes. Raj Nidimoru recently co-wrote and co-produced Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s action-drama Maa Inti Bangaaram, which emerged as a massive box office hit, grossing over ₹70 crore globally.

With Raj & DK’s knack for quirky, high-stakes storytelling and Salman Khan’s unparalleled box-office magnetism, this new project is poised to be one of the most talked-about Hindi movies in the coming year.
