6 BSP MLAs , 1 BJP MLA and Congress leaders join SP

Lucknow : In an interesting political development, Six Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLAs, one Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA and prominent Congress leaders joined the Samajwadi Party on Saturday in the presence of its national president Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow.

The BSP MLAs joined SP are Aslam Raini, Mujtaba Siddiqui, Aslam Ali Chaudhary, Hakim Lal Bind, Sushma Patel, and Hargovind Bhargava.

Sitapur MLA Rakesh Rathore resigned from the BJP and joined the SP on Saturday.

Congress Spokesperson Abbas Haider , Youth Congress leader Allif Khan Pathan along with their followers joined the party .
Speaking to New Delhi Chronicle ,Congress Spokesperson Abbas Haider said ‘’ I finally chose to be in a Democratic Party . I along with entire population of Uttar Pradesh believe it’s Samajwadi Party under the leadership Akhilesh Yadav which can throw the misrule of BJP’’. Congress leader Allif Khan Pathan said ‘’ Its a waste of time to be in Congress party which we realised . In congress you grow old been scuttled by senior leaders who are always jealous and insecure of potential youngsters’’.

Incidentally, Samajwadi Party and Suheldev Bhartiya Samaj Party struck an alliance on Wednesday to counter the ruling BJP in next year’s Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
